Easy to use Spot Dye Pens are designed for discolorations on Nylon and Wool carpeting. Just heat and apply. No mixing. No mess. Each dye pen will cover more than 100 spots. This permanent dye will not wash out or rub off. For larger bleach spots (bigger than palm of your hand) see Home Dyeing Kit page.
PROCEDURE:
STEP 1: Apply Bleach Neutralizer directly to bleach spot and work down to the base of fibers. If you are not covering up a bleach spot, simply wet the discolored area with hot water to dampen all fibers.
STEP 2: Heat Dye Pen with CAP OFF! Dye should be at least 130 degrees. (Over heating of pens can cause pen tops to come off. Release pressure on pen top by pushing down top of pen tip before and after heating.)
Heat in pot of boiling water. Sit pen in water, cap off, top side up. OR Microwave on “Low” or “Defrost” setting with cap off for 20 second intervals until hot. (Do not overheat. Failure to put on low setting, or microwaving for larger intervals can result in dye spillage!)
